Creole Pearly-Eye (Enodia creola)
This range of this species covers most of Louisiana except the extreme southeastern part of the state.  It can be seen flying near its food plant giant cane (Arundinaria).  However, it is far less common than its sister species southern pearly-eye which occupies the exact same habitat.  Giant cane usually grows in large colonies in wooded areas along streams.
