Clouded Sulphur (Colias philodice)

The range of this species extends south in Arkansas to the northern Louisiana border.  It is difficult to separate clouded sulphur from orange sulphur in the field.  Females of the species probably cannot be separated in the field.  However, there are some records of clouded sulphur in university collecitons in north Louisiana.  I have not unequivocally seen one in Louisiana although they are probably here in northern Louisiana in small numbers.
